This workshop will provide a description of trauma-informed approaches and strategies and practical steps for health departments and HIV providers/agencies to develop and operationalize a plan for delivering trauma-informed care and treatment services to people with HIV.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss strategies that RWHAP Parts can implement to take a trauma-informed approach to the provision of care and treatment services for people with HIV.
  2. Compare jurisdictions' approaches to providing a robust portfolio of Part B Program AIDS Drug Assistance Program services with a trauma-informed approach.
  3. Develop one trauma-informed strategy or step that your program or jurisdiction can implement.
