Cultural Competency Curriculum by the Southeast AETC

An online HIV care training curriculum on cultural competency has been released by the southeastern regional office of the AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) HIV clinician training program. The Cultural Competency Curriculum is for all health care staff and covers these topics:

  • Caring for the Transgender Patient
  • HIV & Homelessness: Risks & Survival Behaviors in an Ecology of Desperation
  • Cultural Awareness Basics
  • Barriers and Facilitators for Engaging Latinx in HIV services

The Cultural Competency Curriculum was developed by the Southeast AETC, part of the national AETC network, which has also developed similar online curricula on Medical Case Management and Practice Transformation.
