Ryan White and HIV/AIDS Aging Awareness Day

By 2015, about half of people living with HIV/AIDS in the United States will be over the age of 50. Most of these individuals contracted HIV at a younger age and are living longer because they are engaged in HIV/AIDS care. However, 17% of new infections occur among people aged 50 and older. About half of Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program clients are 45 and older.
