Infographic showing how youth in the RW program fare

Fifteen percent of Ryan White clients in 2013 were youth or young adults. Adolescents between 13 and 18 years old were the smallest group, but the most likely to be retained in care. Youth between 19 and 24 made up one third of the total youth population, and while they had the lowest rates of retention in care and viral load suppression of all age groups, at 75 percent and 59 percent, they still exceeded the national average. The eldest young adults--ages 25 to 29, had the highest rates of viral load suppression among youth, at 68 percent.
