CDC’s Elimination of Mother-to-Child (EMCT) Stakeholders Group, in collaboration with the Franҫois-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) Center and AETC National Resource Center would like to invite you to participate in this free webinar entitled "What’s New in the Guidelines: Recommendations for Use of ARV Drugs in Pregnant Women." The webinar will feature Heather Watts, MD, Medical Officer, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development, Pediatric, Adolescent and Maternal AIDS Branch.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED for participation. Registration deadline is on September 10th. CEUs will not be available for this event.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to discuss and describe guideline updates, including new content on:

  • Preconception counseling and care for women living with HIV who are of childbearing age
  • Safer conception options for HIV serodiscordant couples
  • Antiretroviral use during pregnancy, intrapartum and postpartum for maternal health and to reduce perinatal HIV transmission
  • Neonatal antiretroviral prophylaxis

Participants will be able to view slides and interact with the presenters via web-based training platform Adobe Connect.
