Latinos, who comprise 16% of the U.S. population, bear a disproportionate HIV/AIDS burden--particularly gay/bisexual men:

  • In 2010, Latinos represented over 21 percent of AIDS diagnoses.
  • In 2009, Latinos comprised 20% of new HIV infections in the United States. Over two-thirds were men who have sex with men.
