Recruiting Members for Consumer Quality Committee

Consumer nominations are being sought for the National Quality Center's (NQC) Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC). HIV-infected and affected consumers can assist NQC with its initiatives to improve the quality of HIV care among Ryan White and other programs across the country. The Committee is made up of 10 appointed persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) from across the country (representing each region under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, HHS). CAC member eligibility criteria include:

  • Strong understanding of HIV quality management program infrastructure that exists across currently funded Ryan White programs.
  • Active and engaged in quality improvement activities within a Ryan White grantee.
  • Knowledge of NQC portfolio and program initatives.
  • Time commitment to regularly participate in routinely scheduled CAC workgroup conference calls to provide recommendations to NQC staff on existing or new portfolo of activities.
  • Participate in a Ryan White Regional Quality Learning Network or Collaborative if one exists in the local area.
  • Represent diverse communities of PLWHA locally, statewide, and regionally.

Applicants must submit a resume or bio and a supporting letter of reference from a Ryan White grantee. The deadline for submissions is December 15.
