Retention in care becomes more important as people age, particularly for people living with HIV/AIDS, as HIV infection is made more complex in the context of natural chronic illnesses more common among older individuals, like diabetes and hypertension. Mark Brennan-Ing of ACRIA in New York State discusses the concept of Optimal Wellness in terms of wellness concerns for aging people living with HIV; emerging trends for this population related to wellness and HIV; and related tools and resources.
