Description

A number of HIV quality measures are undergoing evaluation for endorsement that would in turn lead to their submission for inclusion in Meaningful Use Stage 3. Evaluation is being conducted by the National Quality Forum's Infectious Disease Steering Committee.

New and existing measures, including four new measures from HRSA and CDC, are undergoing maintenance review against the Forum’s standard evaluation criteria. Three of the four newly submitted HRSA/CDC measures are also represented in the “HIV Indicators for Monitoring HHS-funded HIV Services” announced by Secretary Kathleen Sebelius July 24, 2012.

The Committee is accepting public comments about the measures being evaluated. Comments are due by November 1. Submitted comments can be posted and viewed on the Forum's Web site.
