Description

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) youth (12-24 years) must navigate the typical challenges of adolescence while also managing the social stigma associated with their emerging sexual and gender minority identities. As a result, many LGBT youth are at higher risk for certain behavioral and emotional issues, homelessness, as well as bullying and other forms of victimization. This webinar will:

  • Discuss the unique health and developmental challenges of LGBT youth.
  • Describe ways to address these issues in the clinical setting.

The featured speaker on this webinar, one in a series sponsored by the National LGBT Health Education Center, is Robert Garofalo MD, MPH, Director, Center for Gender, Sexuality, and HIV Prevention.
