ADAP Technical Assistance


NASTAD provides technical assistance (TA) to State ADAPs in 3 areas: 1) fiscal management to ensure that use of resources is coordinated and maximized; 2) administrative and program-level management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness; and 3) clinical quality management. NASTAD serves as a hub for information exchange among ADAPs, the HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau, and other partners in the Ryan White community of providers.

NASTAD assists ADAPs to develop and implement:

  • Effective ADAP financial forecasting models
  • Cost-containment strategies to avoid or manage waitlists and to identify compassionate-use programs
  • System improvements to collect rebates on co-payments and deductibles
