Description

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is driving the health care system toward new models of coordination, integration, and service delivery. These changes are prompting agencies to explore new ways to work with other agencies.  This slide set outlines a range of collaboration models for Ryan White agencies interested in collaborating with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Guidance to Developing Collaborations with Federally Qualified Health Centers highlights these models:

  • Covering referral arrangements.
  • Co-location referral arrangements.
  • Lease of personnel and services.
  • Establishment of new site.
  • Subrecipient arrangements.

The workshop and slides were presented by Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, which also presented Negotiating Contracts with Managed Care Organizations (see the slide deck that explains various service delivery models in managed care, provider reimbursement methods, and outlines contract review and negotiation strategies).
